COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION IN GUEMENE SUR SCORFF:

This cottage rents weekly from Saturday to Saturday and
is located in the ‘city of the Princes of the ancient Rohan
family.’ Guemene is a bustling market town of 1,200 inhabitants,
20km to the west of Pontivy and about 40km north of Lorient
and right in the heart of Central Brittany in the Scorff
valley in the province of Morbihan.

THE MAIN FLOOR
is an open style format with original beams and chestnut
flooring, a spacious living room, a dining area which comfortably
seats six people, an open plan kitchen and a small toilet.
Individual radiant heating allows for control of temperature
on each level of the house: the loft, the main floor and
the garden level. |
THE KITCHEN
has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer and a microwave,
as well as an extensive range of kitchen equipment e.g.
toaster, filter coffee maker, electric kettle - ideal for
entertaining or for long stays. |
THE LIVING ROOM
has large windows with original shutters, a wonderful Breton
style and is fitted with an electric log fireplace – no
messy cleanups! This floor also has a cloakroom with WC
and hand basin. |

THE LOWER GARDEN LEVEL
has 2 bedrooms, one with a large traditional stone hearth
and electric fireplace, that open out directly onto
the garden and private patio with access to the garden areas.
This level has a shower bathroom and laundry facilities
are installed in a utility area adjacent to the stairwell
and includes a washing machine, ironing board & iron plus
vacuum cleaner etc. |

UPSTAIRS IN THE LOFT
the sleeping accommodation comprises two bedrooms, one large
one with exposed traditional beams and chestnut floors,
exposed stone walls and an antique double bed: the other
is a single bed tucked under the eaves. There is a bathroom
on this level with a full-sized bath tub, toilet and hand
basin. |
