PETIT GUEMENE – TERMS & CONDITIONS

   
  1. Reservations: should be made in writing by returning a completed booking form together with the deposit of 30% of the total rent due. We recommend that you call or email first to check availability. The Owner will, following receipt of this deposit, send a confirmation invoice and statement. This is the final acceptance of the booking.

  2. The balance of the rent is payable not less than eight weeks before the start of the holiday. If payment is not received by the due date the Owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the holiday is cancelled. The Client will remain liable to pay the balance as per the cancellation charges, outlined below.

  3. Payments could be made directly to a UK bank in pounds sterling or you could post a euro cheque/money order made out to Brittany Escapes Ltd – Petit Guemene: Addressed to

  4. Alterations to original booking (subject to availability) should be made in writing and will be subject to a £15/20€ administration charge. If alterations are made after eight weeks but before your arrival and substitute guests can not be found, the Owners reserve the right to enforce the alteration/cancellation fees as detailed below.

  5. Cancellation by Client: this should be made in writing to the Owners.

  6. Cancellation charges: from the date of receipt of the Client's cancellation letter:

    More than 96 days (12 weeks) before arrival date: 25% of total cost
    94-56 days (11 - 8 weeks) before arrival date: 50% of total cost
    54-0 days (less than 8 weeks) before arrival date: 100%of total cost

  7. Cancellation by the Owners: if for any reason the Owners are obliged to cancel the Client's booking, all monies paid to date will be refunded in full. This is the limit of the Owners' liability.

  8. Any chargeable expenses (e.g. telephone calls) during the rental period must be settled directly with the Owner before departure.

  9. A security deposit of 100€ for every week or part week of the rental period is required in case of damage to the property or its contents. The Owner will check the Property upon the departure of the Client and refund the deposit or balance due within two weeks.

  10. THE CLIENT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO ARRANGE COMPREHENSIVE TRAVEL INSURANCE AND TO HAVE FULL COVER FOR THE PARTY'S PERSONAL BELONGINGS, PUBLIC LIABILITY ETC. SINCE THESE ARE NOT COVERED BY THE OWNER'S INSURANCE

  11. The rental period will start at 4.00PM on the day of arrival, and finish at 10.00AM on the last day. The changeover day is Saturday, unless otherwise stated.

  12. The maximum number to reside in the Property must not exceed the number agreed in writing on this booking form. Extra people will be charged at a rate to be agreed with the Owner. Infants and young children should be included when stating numbers in party.

  13. Petit Guemene will be professionally cleaned on your departure. However, the Client is responsible for leaving the house and its contents clean and tidy. This includes washing up, cleaning oven, microwave, barbecue, basin, baths/shower, WC, floors, bedding, returning all furniture to its original position. If, in the opinion of the Owners, the house has not been left in a satisfactorily condition, equivalent to the condition in which the Client moved in, the Owner reserves the right to make a deduction from the security deposit to cover additional heavy cleaning costs.

  14. The Client agrees to behave in a way that would not cause disturbance to any other people in neighbouring properties.

  15. Pets: no pets of any kind are allowed in Petit Guemene or the grounds, unless explicitly agreed upon by the Owners. This will only be possible during Low Season.

  16. The Client shall report to the Owner without delay any defects of the Property, or any breakdown of equipment or appliances in the Property or garden, and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.

  17. The Owner shall not be liable to the Client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, or appliance in the Property or garden. For any loss, damage, injury that is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes, or other matters beyond the control of the Owner. For any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the Property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period, and in any event, the Owner shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

  18. Disclaimer: the Owner cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any injury or damage to Clients or any member of their party or any of their property whilst using the house or grounds. Under no circumstances shall the Owner's liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.

  19. Acceptance of these terms & conditions: completing the booking form implies knowledge and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  20. Party Leader: the person signing the booking form is deemed to be the party leader and is responsible for all members of his/her party adhering to these terms & conditions.

  21. This contract shall be governed by French law in every way including interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in France. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in France.
